MZK OFFICIAL PUBLIC STATEMENT

We would like to share a statement that went a bit unnoticed but very much deserving of attention. The statement came courtesy of NESS from MZK (formerly Mighty Zulu Kingz) and goes as follows:

To our family, friends, supporters, and Hip Hop enthusiast worldwide.
We, the members of MZK, formerly known as “Mighty Zulu Kingz/Kweenz Worldwide”, hereinafter referred to as “MZK”, have elected to take on a major change in our organization. Effective immediately, MZK are hereby declaring our organization to operate as its own entity. Though we have operated as an independent entity for several years, we will no longer be associated or be under the umbrella of any other organization. Therefore, MZK declares no involvement of any kind in any actions perceived to contradict the moral values of MZK that might have taken place while or before operating under the umbrella of any organization. What all this means is that MZK is its own crew/organization, and it is NOT associated to any other crews or organizations whatsoever.

In addition, MZK has come to an agreement to no longer operate under the name of “Mighty Zulu Kingz/Kweenz.” Though, the rights of this name along with the logo design of the “Mighty Zulu Kingz/Kweenz” are trademarked and owned by the President of MZK, Luis Martinez Jr. a.k.a. Alien Ness, we feel that the course of order needed to continue a positive impact worldwide is to discontinue operating under this name.
Any attempt to recreate or represent the name “Mighty Zulu Kingz/Kweenz” outside of our organization will be considered a direct violation/infringement of Intellectual Property protected by international laws. The name “Mighty Zulu Kingz/Kweenz” is not being released for public circulation or public representation of any sort. However, the name “Mighty Zulu Kingz/Kweenz” will be used by our organization to detail the vast history established by our members beginning in the year 2000.

In result of all that has been stated, we would like to emphasize that “MZK” is the OFFICIAL name of our organization from now onward. We are excited to begin the process of rebranding ourselves under the MZK denomination and the effect that this action will take in our ongoing efforts to have a positive impact worldwide. Along with the rebranding process, all apparel under the name “Mighty Zulu Kingz/Kweenz” has been suspended for sale. Besides, MZK will no longer wear any apparel associated with “Mighty Zulu Kingz/Kweenz.” There is no shortage of small intricacies involved in this change, so please bear with us through this rebranding process.

In our efforts as MZK, we will continue to be a worldwide organization of Hip Hop ambassadors promoting a positive lifestyle, change, and a bond of peace to all humanity. We will continue to teach with passion the historical facts of the origins of the Hip Hop culture. We will also continue to educate about the origins of our history as an organization beginning in the year 2000. This newly branded vision will be conceived worldwide in communities, events, and any venue provided to spread this positive message. Our mission and passion will continue worldwide.
We thank you for all the years of support and hope it continues while we usher in a new era.
MZK Worldwide est. 2000

To Ness and the rest of MZK Lifestyle, we respect and support what you guys are doing and wish you guys best of luck as always.

Yo – why is that “umbrella” never called by the name – are we talking about zulu nation? Is that whole thing directly connected to the alligation against Bambaataa? Why then isn’t this a clear statement against it? Is this the real reason? Does MZK wanna break the connections to the zulu nation (name whise)? Even a image or money thing (which would be ok cause peeps got to make a living)

these questions are not ment to be offensive!!! But I thing that issue goes big for the whole Hip-Hop culture. Everyone needs to be able to positioning his self and MZK makes an opinion maker ever since…

does it really matter? this post is about MZK, keep the focus on MZK

yo – I think it does. From the MZK side too tho. Straight talk would help the community which you guys wanna educate (I highly apprciate that!) – also to make a positive impact (like that idea too) a clear statement against child abuse or the alligations would be a first step. Maybe its not the time jet (in termns of celaring the issue jet) – but at a curtain point Hip-Hop needs to face that shit. An as I said MZK is a opinion maker cats look up to… take to a serious level! With much Respect!
