Lightbulb If you had just 1 thing to share..

If you had just one thing to share...to contribute to the bboying..to help be better bboys..or maintain a healthy bboy.. One philosophy...One technique...One move..One style..One concept..etc...what would it be?

keep note it doesnt also have to be one thing..you could share as much as you like

i learned that Moderation and balance is a good thing..its ok to take breaks from bboying..itll help you keep fresh..

One more thing..you dont have to agree to all the stuff that may be posted..were just tryin to push forward thats all..do what works for you..s
stay humble..PEACE

*please take the time to share one thing...its hard to connect with everybody around the world and want to learn as much as posslible for everyone..take mind that this is a forum too you can learn something here too

Don't be afraid to ask for help/tips/pointers/whatever from others. Breaking is highly egotistical and sometimes it's hard to do something as humble as ask for advice. I felt that I made huge strides after finally humbling myself (or really, losing the fear of constructive criticism) and getting advice from the older bboys who were around

Agreed.

My thing personally is keeping an open mind. Don't knock things til you try them. Guess this applies to everything though. But that's my one philosophy.

Dont be afraid to ask. Thats the thing, most people are to blown up on their ego and dont ask people. Bboys learn from one another. Thats how we keep the community strong. We help our own.

The reason we should study history and do our homework is because we should respect the pioneers that gave their whole lives into creating this dance in order to seperate themselves from violence, gangs, etc.

Ask for feedback off judges. I can't stress this enough, even if you got smoked by a crew thats international and fresh and all the rest still get some feedback off the judges. It'll help you improve and target areas that you might be lacking. It's done so much for me just asking judges what they thought was good or wack.
