THE ART OF RAP. WHAT HAPPENED?

Commercial rap music used to be dope, official, fresh and so on. MC’s like Biggie and groups like Wu-Tang used to have the best selling albums in America. The music had a purpose, a message. MC’s had something to say and skills to back it up. WHAT HAPPENED?? Seriously what went down for us to have what we have today? Let us tell you what happened…the commercial music industry realized it was better to just fabricate pop rappers. Feed the consumer non-talented individuals they could easily manipulate and use as puppets. Get in, get out and dispose; type of individuals. This is why rappers today don’t last. 1 hit wonders with a music video and dance to go with it. It’s no longer Hiphop. It is not HIP and it does not HOP. We like to call it POP RAP.
