The Word & The Dream

If you’ve been following us for a while now, you’ve probably picked up that one of our biggest inspirations is the one and only Muhammad Ali. One of our favorite  books in our growing Ali memorabilia collection here at The Spot is called Ali Rap, which has over 300 rhymes and raps written or spoken by the man himself throughout the course of his career. So when we came across these powerful Ali tribute clips featuring Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) reciting Ali’s rhymes, we were left speechless. The clips are part of Louis  Vuitton’s new campaign, The Greatest, which captures the journeys of some of the world’s most extraordinary personalities. This journey is about a man who stood up for the ideals he believed in, a man whose victories but also defeats left a mark on the world, and a man whose incisive words reached billions and still echo today. The combination of the wittiness of Ali’s words performed flawlessly by one of the illest MC’s in the game is just too dope. Check them out….
